How do I choose the right press-on nail size?
Page content
To choose the right press-on nail size, measure the widest curved part of each natural nail in millimeters, record all 10 measurements, and compare them with the Kakakoo size chart below. Check every finger rather than choosing by thumb size alone. If your measurements fall between sizes or do not match a standard set, contact us before ordering for sizing or customization help.
1. Measure all 10 nails in millimeters
You will need clear tape, a fine pen and a ruler with millimeter markings.
- Place a piece of tape across the widest part of your natural nail.
- Gently press the tape along the curve of the nail and into the left and right sidewalls.
- Mark both sides of the nail on the tape with your pen.
- Remove the tape, lay it flat and measure the distance between the two marks in millimeters (mm).
- Repeat for every finger on both hands. Record your left and right hands separately, from thumb to little finger.
Measure across the nail's width, following its curve—not from the cuticle to the tip. Recheck any measurement you are unsure about before choosing a size.

2. Compare your measurements with the Kakakoo size chart
All measurements below are in millimeters (mm), in the order thumb, index, middle, ring and little finger. These values match the Kakakoo size chart shown on this page.
| Size | Thumb | Index | Middle | Ring | Little |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 14 | 10 | 11 | 10 | 8 |
| S | 15 | 11 | 12 | 11 | 8 |
| M | 16 | 12 | 13 | 12 | 9 |
| L | 17 | 13 | 14 | 13 | 10 |
Example: Measurements of 15 / 11 / 12 / 11 / 8 mm match size S in this chart. This is a chart example, not a recommendation based on hand size or a photograph.
Compare both hands with the chart and check the size options on your chosen product page. If that product provides a specific size chart, use that chart for the style.

3. What if I am between sizes?
Kakakoo's chart suggests considering a larger size if you are between two sizes or have flatter nail beds. Compare all five fingers before deciding; if one standard size does not work across your nails, send us all 10 measurements so we can help you choose a size or discuss a custom set.
Do not assume that a standard set will fit every finger just because the thumb measurement matches. For measurements that fall between chart values, send the actual measurements rather than rounding them to a standard size.
4. Is nail size the same as shape or length?
No. XS, S, M and L in this chart describe nail widths. Shape and length are separate choices. Check your product page for the available options, then choose your size using your measurements.

5. Apply and remove your press-on nails
Check the fit of every nail before applying adhesive. Prepare and clean your natural nails, then apply adhesive tabs or nail glue according to the instructions supplied with the adhesive. Align each press-on nail and press it into place. Follow the adhesive instructions for pressure, drying time and removal.
Do not pull off nails that are still firmly attached. Use a removal method suitable for the adhesive and the nail finish. If you want to reuse the set, check the removal instructions first and contact support@kakakoo.com if you are unsure.
