How to Measure Your Nail Size at Home
Correct sizing is one of the most important parts of a natural-looking press-on manicure. A nail that fits well sits flat, feels comfortable and is less likely to lift.
What you need
Use soft measuring tape, clear tape and a pen, or a sizing kit if available. Measure the widest part of each natural nail from sidewall to sidewall.
Tape method
Place clear tape across your nail, mark both side edges, remove the tape and measure the distance between marks in millimeters.
Measure every finger
Do not assume both hands are identical. Measure all ten nails and write down each size.
If you are between sizes
Choose the slightly larger nail and gently file the sides for a custom fit. A press-on that is too small can pop off faster.
